Abstract

The first year of school counseling is fast-paced, demanding, and requires a high learning curve. This panel discussion will be facilitated by 3 school counselors who championed through their first year as counselors. In addition to a discussion on the reality of counseling duties and responsibilities, our 4th panelist will address vicarious trauma and the importance of self-care  and life balance in the helping profession.
