Abstract

As school counselors, we are charged with building a comprehesive program that advocates for the academic success of all students. Closing the gap on systemic issues that interfere with the success of all is a huge part of this work. Data shows that the educational gap has remained practically unchanged on the local, state, and national level between students of color and their counterparts. The fight for equity in education is far from achieved.
