Abstract

Attend this session to learn how students use the Georgia Career Information System (GCIS) to create and manage an electronic career profile (portfolio) for the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Statewide Longitudinal Data System to complete the 9th-12th grades advisement and career planning checklist. Participants will also learn how to navigate the GCIS’ Administration Tools to show real-time data and progress. Leave the workshop with resources and best practices for immediate implementation. GCIS provides current, comprehensive information and is proud to be a statewide service managed by the Georgia Career Information Center at Georgia State University. GCIS is available to EVERY public middle and high school in the state of Georgia at no cost.
