Abstract

Participants will learn about the S.T.A.R. (Self-esteem, Truth, Accountability,Respect) Program and its benefits to middle school students by enhancing the current GADOE middle school Soft Skills curriculum. The S.T.A.R. Program has been designed to respond to crucial student needs in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) through story telling; individual and team, project-based activities and presentations; and leadership training. Students will learn about Improved Self awareness, Stronger self management, enhanced decision making and greater relationship skills
