Abstract

Social and emotional needs are at the heart of the well-being and foundation for achievement for all children. Many of our gifted/high ability learners need targeted assistance with relationships, perfectionism, asynchronous development, situational stressors, and post -secondary planning. There is much to learn about the social, emotional concerns of gifted students, but literature has a wealth of information on the topic. How can we utilize these concepts to be champions/advocates for our gifted/high ability learners?
