Abstract

The first five years of any new career can be challenging, especially the transition from graduate school to the school counseling office. This session offers a glimpse of a school counselor’s first five years in the field. There will be a panel discussion in which attendees can submit questions. Participants will leave with tips and advice from first to fifth year practitioners that will help ease their transition and further develop their school counselor identities.
