Interest is now growing for the concept of "public data" that is published and managed by government entities, and also for its distribution and utilization. In Korea, there was a governmental initiative for public data named government 3.0 in 2013, and as an institutional framework, enactment for public data was followed. Among the public data that are held and managed by government, numbers of significant information is related with consumers or consumer safety. However, awareness about public data is yet low and its utilization and sharing is not enough. Based on the problem, this study is to identify actual situation of consumer related public data and to look for ways to increase its distribution. For actual situation of consumer related public data, this study performed case studies on 14 government departments and their 20 jurisdictions and 26 web sites.
