How to make internal and topical herbal preparations for effective and low cost approaches to treating chronic pain

Proposal Summary

This will be a half day workshop that will educate the audience on which herbs and specific applications are most effective for the treatment of chronic pain. It will include an overview of traditional TCM and Ayurvedic approaches and will also include the use of cannabis and kratom as potent herbs for the treatment of pain. We will spend have the time with lecture and the other half demonstrating how the participant can make the oils and salves. This will also include easy to follow one-page handouts that can be given to patients so they may make their own products at home. (NOT ELIGIBLE FOR CME)

Skills or Experience

Both presenters have a Master's in Traditional Chinese Medicine and have been working with herbs for over 20 years. Presenter 1 has been making herbal preparations professionally for 20 years and consults with medical professionals and clinics to optimize delivery of herbal medicine. Presenter has extensive clinical experience working with cannabis and underserved patients suffering from chronic pain.
