Proposal Summary

Professional and family caregivers are the backbone of our health care system.

Designing ways to offer ourselves compassion through simple, flexible, and potent self-care practices is critical to be of service and prevent burnout.

When caregivers practice self-care on the job the therapeutic environment is enhanced for the patient too.

Self care is one of the central pillars of Ayurvedic medicine.

Eve and Scott will offer practices from Contemplative Psychology and Ayurveda including emotional awareness and resilience as well as Ayurvedic movement, breathing, "nasya"(nose oiling), and frameworks for setting a more balanced daily rhythm.
