Proposal Summary

In this interactive session, we will describe how a partnership between Helpsy Health and Integrative Medicine Access is helping to facilitate access to Integrative Medicine among the underserved while providing resources to practitioners to more easily provide evidence-based self management tools to our patients while collecting patient-level data. (NOT ELIGIBLE FOR CME)

The mission of Helpsy Health is to empower patients to have the best possible health outcomes possible, while living their best lives. Helpsy has partnered with Integrative Medicine Access, whose mission is to facilitate accessibility to Integrative Medicine among low-income and medically underserved people, to provide their platform for patient and practitioner use.

One of the most time-consuming aspects of our job as practitioners is finding relevant, easily implementable, integrative-oriented, and evidence-based self management recommendations for our patients. Through an interactive session, we will demonstrate how this platform and app works, allowing practitioners to easily point patients in the right direction. Data will be shown on the impact this program has had on patients with pain conditions.

It is crucial that we collect patient-reported data on outcomes from the practice of integrative medicine in underserved settings. Yet collecting such data can be overwhelming for many practitioners. We will demonstrate how this tool allows for easy data collection of patient-reported outcomes.
