Session Abstract

For ELLs, having structured scaffolds when reading complex texts is vital to understanding and sucessfully writing on the content.  Participants will explore a backward design approach as a way to intentionally plan literacy units that align to the Common Core State Standards and WIDA ELD Standards while serving diverse needs.
