Instructors must often focus on standards and objectives and find there is no time for getting to know students, their opinions, and unique backgrounds. Participants will leave this presentation with three activity ideas to integrate required language objectives and rewarding personal connections, informed by theory and practical applications.

Katja Davidoff, MAT. TESOL, MAT Spanish, Senior Lecturer in ESL at Boston University. She earned her Masters degrees from The School for International Training.  She has taught Spanish, French, Latin, and ESL in Middle School, HIgh School, and University as well as conducting teacher training for career changers who want to earn their TEFL certificate and teach ESL.
