BC Library Conference 2020

F10 - Pop-up Libraries as Creative Social Infrastructure.

Friday, April 17, 2020 at 10:45 AM–12:00 PM EDT
Meeting Room #4
Session Description

Libraries are the heart of their communities. How do we continue to be that cornerstone of civic life when we are faced with an unexpected closure or temporary relocation due to a renovation? We set up a Pop-up library!

This session will explore the experiences of how two libraries, Terry Fox Library and Cloverdale Library, navigated their temporary closures and set up a successful Pop-up library in their community. Learn how you can set up a successful Pop-up library in your community - we’ll discuss everything from reaching out to community partners to how the Pop-up collection will function in your ILS.
