BC Library Conference 2020

Coaching Sessions - Friday (Sign up is at the Registration desk. It’s first come, first served)

Session Description

You know that library work can be inspiring and deeply satisfying - and it can also be frustrating and exhausting. In the midst of the day-to-day struggles that inevitably happen, we can become disconnected from what brought us to this work in the first place. This impacts our ability to show up fully, for ourselves and for our communities.

But there’s a reason you work in a library. Maybe it’s because you want to make a difference in your community. Or maybe you believe in the core principle of intellectual freedom. Both of these are values - words and phrases that uniquely represent who you are and what you believe in.

If you’re wrestling with a specific problem, or a feeling of disconnection, coaching can be a powerful way to reconnect with your values, explore how they’re being met (or not), and chart a course forward that feels both meaningful and satisfying.

We are offering 12 free coaching sessions for individuals. Each session is 30 minutes. Sign up is on Thursday and Friday morning at the Registration desk. It’s first come, first served.
