Transmasculine Gender Affirming "Bottom" Surgery: Phalloplasty
Workshop Description
The goal of the workshop is to describe the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative considerations involved in phalloplasty. This will include an in-depth discussion on phalloplasties for transmale, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and gender diverse individuals. The presentation will focus on pre-operative requirements, surgical options, working with adolescents, and will delve into expected post operative results, outcomes, and ways to improve the phalloplasty experience. The goal is to ensure that prospective patients and medical providers have a thorough understanding of what this complex surgical journey entails.

Dr. Dev Gurujal is a Board Certified Plastic surgeon, having practiced gender affirming surgery since 2014. He is currently in practice with Dr. Thomas Satterwhite at Align Surgical Associates.
He completed his training in aesthetic and reconstructive Plastic Surgery at Northwestern, and a Microsurgery fellowship at Stanford. He also holds a master’s degree in Engineering Design and Innovation, and is an inventor with a passion for medical device innovation. His mission is to use his love of surgery and design to help the transgender community.
