This presentation will include the research based strategies used successfully to recruit in high need, high demand content areas with a diverse population with the purpose of recruiting an a diverse high quality teaching candidate pool. This presentation will facilitate a discussion on the change in messaging to attract new teachers with 21 century technology necessary for the up and coming generation of future teachers. Every student deserves an exceptional teacher, and when there is an inadequate amount of fully credentialed teachers on campus, the consequences are most strongly felt by students and the larger school community. Join experts from the California Center on Teaching Careers to learn how districts can adopt innovative recruitment techniques and strategies to fill open teaching positions with qualified, diverse candidates dedicated to educating California students.
