An introduction to the roots of TL learning theory and contemporary conceptualizations of TL
Editing is structured around the written word and the ability to revise and refine it. When coupled with higher-education, positions like editorial research assistantships create a transformative learning experience opportunity through which editors can improve their skills and expand their academic interests outside of their field of study while working in a professional environment. This research examines the unique opportunities provided to editorial research assistants, as well as how these opportunities promote higher-level thinking. The transformative learning elements of this assistantship challenges the editor's ability to analyze, research, and communicate with professionals across multiple fields of study.
