BALLROOM D
Conference Thread

An introduction to the roots of TL learning theory and contemporary conceptualizations of TL

Research and awareness can provide a cross disciplinary approach to preventing several different social problems including intimate partner violence (IPV). This approach can present more than one branch of knowledge on the subject of IPV -- from the perspective of the victims and those who do not experience abuse or are meant to assist the victims. The research process and spread of awareness can provide students with educational experiences in order to improve their civic engagement, global and cultural competencies, discipline knowledge, social justice, and leadership. By developing these skills, students will be able to use them in the real world application. In this session, we would present examples of research and awareness for this particular social problem.
