Abstract

Advocating for all students requires understanding and responding to current issues that impact students, schools, and the community.  This session will focus on strengthening advocacy skills, focusing on local, state, and national events and concerns that impact students, addressing barriers to advocacy, and building stakeholder partnerships.  The GSCA lobbyists, Nelson Mullins, the GSCA advocacy chairs, as well as legislators, will be on hand to shed light on the 2020 legislative session and prepare us for the upcoming 2021 session.  Use your newly-developed advocacy skills and knowledge to serve, lead, and inspire!
