Abstract
To be seen as team players and to maintain harmony, school counselors often say yes to non-counseling duties without realizing the cost to the students they serve. Attend this session to see if you have Nice Counselor Syndrome (NCS), to explore the motivations behind NCS, to identify the obstacles to overcoming NCS, and to determine strategies that help move beyond NCS so that students can fully benefit from your work as a school counselor.
