Abstract

There has been a need to discuss suicide prevention in schools for awhile now. This paper discusses different authors' strategies for suicide prevention programs and the research on schools already using a suicide prevention program. Many authors discuss the importance of suicide prevention in schools, because of the prevalence of the teen suicide rate today. Throughout the paper, multiple authors discuss research on suicide prevention programs and how school counselors play a role.
