Abstract
This session provides tools for high school counselors to work more effectively with students impacted by issues surrounding immigration, including under- and undocumented statuses, as they pursue post-secondary education. School counselors working in high schools and community organizations, as well as a former student, will share concrete strategies, up-to-date resources, and practical methods of advocacy through advising and school counseling programming to support college access for students from immigrant families.
