Abstract
Every classroom has students who have experienced trauma from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic may intensify a sense of distress for all students, but especially those with trauma. During uncertain times of remote learning, how can schools create positive childhood experiences to mitigate the impact? This session discusses how educators can integrate foundational social-emotional learning and trauma-sensitive practices into their online teaching plans and interactions with students.
