Abstract
In supporting LGBTQ students, counselors often have good intentions, but struggle to be meaningful. We are frequently unsure of what to do when situations arise or we are consulted. How can we be confident and intentional? Participants will examine an LGBTQ Student Action Decision Making Model. They will then review a professional development created for middle school teachers to support a transgender student. Participants will then look a real life scenarios and apply the model.
