Abstract
Counselor roles and responsibilities continue increase causing professionals to experience feelings of being overwhelmed, anxious and stressed. The code of Ethics for the American Counseling Association (ACA: ACA, 2014) states that counselors should “engage in self-care activities.” This presentation will discuss the ethical implications for self-care and highlight self-care strategies.
