Abstract
Students with stressed brains cannot learn. Educators must accommodate for this and help students feel safe and loved. Fortunately, there are things counselors can do RIGHT NOW to impact the culture of schools.
These strategies don't cost much money or take up much time. They are common sense strategies to help ALL students feel belonging at school, build student-teacher relationships, encourage a calm environment and reduce stress so that learning can happen.
