Abstract
Many of our students of color are roses tasked with emerging from concrete. They must endure challenges and stressors faced by all plants plus the harm that accompanies interactions with practices and policies in social groups/institutions designed in opposition to their well-being.
In this interactive session participants will explore ways to lead efforts that transform concrete to fertile soil that supports life affirming pathways and improves well-being for Black students and other students of color.
