Session Abstract

In the first half of 2020 the University of the Sunshine Coast Library migrated its research repository from Vital to the Esploro research services platform as part of the early adopter program. In this presentation we will discuss the reasons we chose Esploro and how we succeeded with our business case, what we hope to achieve and how the Library is working more collaboratively with the Office of Research.

The technical challenges of and practical solutions to migrating data will also be discussed, including data cleansing and mapping, the tools we used and the lessons learned.

Finally, we will briefly discuss the benefits and challenges of becoming an early adopter, including collaboration with the Ex Libris Esploro development team and the early adopter community.
