Abstract
School counselors play a critical role in students’ career development by helping students understand the connection between school and the world of work. Future-proofing is the process of anticipating the future and developing methods of minimizing the effects of shocks and stresses of future events. This session will provide an overview on hosting future-proof events by partnering with local groups to expose students to information and experiences that help them become ready for life, career, and college.
