Abstract

In this session, presenters will share their perspectives and insights for creating antiracist learning environments and more importantly, how to respond to racial incidents in schools. Representing diverse lived experiences, we will reflect on our internal dialogue because we believe school counselors must explore their thoughts and biases. Counselors must be able to communicate with students as compassionate, culturally competent, and antiracist adults. We will provide recommendations for every level of programming.
