Abstract

Because of the role school counselors play in their communities and the current ethical and competency standards, the profession as a whole must understand how to address racism and enact antiracist practices.

The presenters will provide data from their recent study on what antiracist school counseling looks like for elementary school counselors. This presentation will provide information on elementary school counselors’ thoughts, interventions, and barriers regarding antiracist practices in their schools.
