This presentation will highlight current data on ELLs including demographics, achievement and trends. This will be followed up with updates on current and future projects from OELAAA including all things RETELL, WIDA, Title III and other topics.

Biographical Statement

Paul is a former ELL from the Azores and was brought up and later worked as a TBE Spanish teacher in New Bedford. He moved to Indonesia where he became first a Principal and then a Headmaster for two dual language I.B. international schools. He has also taught ESL, been an ELL Director, Assistant Special Education Director  and Director of Guidance at the district level. More recently he has worked for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education first as an Education Specialist and Supervisor for Program Quality Assurance Services and then as the Assistant Director and then Director for OELAAA.
