Academic conversations impact student achievement and increase student engagement. Our school-wide initiative to teach academic conversations has led to significant gains in the areas of speaking and listening. Now, we will give you a glimpse into one bilingual classroom as students transfer these powerful skills into their writing.

Jen is currently an ELD teacher at Brophy School in Framingham. Previously, Jen taught at the Barbieri School as an English instruction in their dual immersion program.

Biographical Statement

Gabriella is currently a second grade bilingual teacher at the Brophy Elementary School. She has previously worked as a middle school bilingual teacher.
