Session Abstract

Newcomers Parent Liaisons provide social and academic orientation in one of the seven major languages to new ELLs and their families.  Support entails orienting families about various academic and family-support resources in the district, at the school level, and in the community. Participants will learn how to identify and respond to the needs of newcomer families and students as follows:
