Identification and Assessment of ELLs
Session Abstract
This presentation will provide an overview of English Language Assessment in relation to the initial identification and assessment of ELLs for program placement in the Boston Public Schools. In addition to expanding their understanding of the process and key issues involved in the assessment of newly identified LEPs, participants will also be informed of the critical role that assessment plays in programing and service delivery, as well as monitoring student progress, and planning rigorous content based language instruction.
