Session Abstract
Knowledge equity is based on a hierarchy of how knowledge is shared. The learning organization is unique in that it can transform the conversation surrounding knowledge equity by bringing together diverse individuals in the learning landscape to share and develop new knowledge while challenging their own assumptions and value systems.
Session Description
Today we live in a world that is becoming increasingly divided. With an aim of mitigating the problems of tomorrow, it is important that we create equitable learning ecosystems that reflect the diversity of today’s adult learners. The proposed poster presentation will explore the academic conversation surrounding equitable knowledge creation and the significance of learning organizations in that process. The purpose of the literature review is to build a foundation for new theory development that explains how equitable knowledge ecosystems are cultivated in organizations.
