Abstract
Racial trauma is a negative product of racism that can impede the academic, social/emotional, and career development of students, specifically Black students. This presentation will focus on helping school counselors identify and understand symptoms of racial trauma and their impacts on students within the K-12 setting. Strategies and interventions for addressing racial trauma from within school counseling programs will be addressed.
