Abstract

Early planning for postsecondary success is important for all students, but is critically important for students from immigrant families of all documentation statuses. This session will introduce early intervention strategies for students in 6th-11th grades from practicing school counselors. Recent high school graduates will share firsthand experiences navigating academic planning and college and career readiness along with suggestions for school counselors who work with students from immigrant families.
