Jianwei Xu is a lecturer in Language Education at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. Her research interests mainly reside in sociocultural perspectives on second language learning, intercultural education and heritage language education.

Dr Ann Peeters teaches Italian and literature at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She is also the director of the English-medium MA Programme in Linguistics and Literary Studies in the Faculty of Languages and Humanities. Currently, she is the vice-chair of the university’s Council for International Policy.
