Professional Biography

Annette Benson has dedicated the last 18 years to intercultural learning at Purdue University through management of an ESOL progam, facilitation of diversity and inclusion programming, the creation and administration of integration programs for international and domestic students, and the oversight of an intercultural learning science gateway.

Dr. Kris Acheson-Clair, former faculty in Applied Linguistics at Georgia State University and Fulbright scholar to Honduras, currently serves as director of Purdue University’s Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment and Research. Drawing on nearly two decades of classroom experience, she is well-published on the development and assessment of intercultural competence.
