This presentation shares how Intercultural Communicative Competence and culture-related issues have unfolded in Foreign Language Teacher Education during the last decade, as evidenced in 13 refereed Colombian journals. Publication trends, gaps, and implications for curriculum will be discussed based on the findings of the literature review

Professional Biography
Alexánder Ramírez is a professor in English and Linguistics at Universidad del Valle. He holds a Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and a Master’s in Linguistics. He is currently a PhD student of the Doctoral Program of Education, at Universidad del Valle. His research interests include Interculturality, Curriculum, and Queer Linguistics.
