Abstract
Succession planning for electronic resources positions is an integral part of risk management for libraries and organisations, but many libraries are not doing this work. Succession planning, in conjunction with organizational planning and strategic initiatives, can identify key vacancies, provide mentoring opportunities, internal promotion pathway, and assist in knowledge transfer.
