Abstract

University of Houston Libraries implemented an organizational restructure that reclassified subject liaisons as collections or teaching librarians in two new units. I will discuss the new collections department structure, the rationale for this approach, change management strategies, and how the new approach enables more effective, holistic, and collaborative collections work.
