This presentation summarizes the preparation, implementation, and ongoing assessment of training Library Assistants within an Electronic Resources Acquisitions Unit for migration from Millennium iii system to Alma/Primo VE using learning theories and instructional models adapted from Information Literacy Instruction (2nd ed.) by Grassian and Kaplowitz. This presentation will
-- Summarize learning theories and instructional models
-- Describe the conceptual models that underlie one library management system and the workflows thereof and the conceptual changes necessary to learning how to work in Alma/Primo VE
-- Describe examples of how these learning theories and instructional models were applied to specific training and presentation methods used to introduce Alma
-- Provide description and assessment of tools/technology used for learning/training
-- Describe the process for ad hoc assessment of methods based on feedback from staff, departmental, and institutional needs
