Session Abstract

Implemented in response to an urgent need for remote access to research collections during the pandemic, Alma Digital is Cardiff University's new and publicly accessible platform for digitised special collections and archives. Beyond simply making content accessible online, Alma Digital's support for IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework) promises to transform support for teaching, research, and collaboration. This presentation will outline the ways in which IIIF functionality can facilitate the creation and use of innovative digital outputs for teaching and research.
