IGeLU 2022 Hybrid Conference and Developers' Day 12 -15th September, 2022

The implementation of the digital and integrated Inter Library Loan (ILL) service at University of Chile and Pontifical Catholic University of Chile is presented, through the use of the Resources Sharing feature and Primo VE, representing the first Latin American experience in the use of this functionality in Alma. The two main universities in the country, in terms of their participation in international rankings and teaching and research criteria, present a high demand for the exchange of printed resources, mainly by undergraduate students. With the purpose of automating the service, eliminating printed forms and advancing in the digital transformation, with support of ProQuest-LATAM, began the process of configuration, detection of needs and requirements. This presentation describes the implementation process, technological feasibility, main difficulties faced, advantages obtained, statistical management and established workflow.
