Session Abstract
In April 2022, SLSP integrated into their swisscovery network (SLSP’s Alma and Primo environment) an already productive Alma system, the Alexandria network of Swiss federal government libraries. the 15 libraries of Alexandria were added seamlessly to the existing 475 libraries in swisscovery. With their integration into a dedicated additional IZ, it allowed the Alexandria libraries to maintain their internal network structure while adopting the swisscovery framework. The formerly Alma instance of Alexandria was shut down. This was the first of such a migration within Alma worldwide. The presentation will describe the background to this project, the procedure, the involvement of Ex Libris and interaction, the circumstances which had to be considered, the implementation carried out by SLSP and the achievements.
