
During COVID, Libraries and Cultural Resources at the University of Calgary wanted a method to collect open ended user feedback on their search experience. Members of the LCR's Primo Working Group piloted a proactive survey designed and delivered using Qualtrics to prompt users for feedback. After the pilot, the survey was improved and run two more times. In this presentation, we will discuss how we created and deployed the pilot survey during a two week period in March 2021, improvements we made after the pilot, and the results we have collected since. Attendees will see how to develop a simple tool that can be consistently used to collect feedback from users on their experience using our library search to find and access resources.
