General Counseling
Interactions between adults and students often escalate due to stressors, strained relationships, and limited de-escalation skills. Such interactions lead to social and emotional fires that school counselors are often called to put out. Preventing fires helps students become school, career, and life ready. In this session, participants will learn tips on advocating for their role, an introduction to stress and trauma, de-escalation skills, and prevention initiatives for improving school behaviors and climate.
Appropriate for All Counselors
