Dismantling inequitable systems and promoting social justice are central, not peripheral, to being a school counselor. Supported by our profession's ethical standards and national framework, school counselors are called to develop programs that fight inequity. School
counselors must promote the development of school policies that lead to the equitable treatment of all students as well as opposing school policies that hinder the equitable treatment of any student. In this session, participants will walk away with strategies and tools for becoming social justice warriors who implement ethical school
counseling programs for ALL students.
